03) How old are you?

Tehedra: *Snort* Sixteen.
Yvette: Nineteen.
Varian: Uh. I think I'm a year younger than Pia, so I'm eighteen? Or am I nineteen now? Damn, I'll have to ask her or Sinjian.

04) What do you do for a living?

Tehedra: What is it that one of my author's favourite movie characters says? Oh, yes, something along the lines of: "Pillage, torture, rape, and otherwise pilfer my weasely black guts out."
Yvette: *Gives Tehedra a really odd look* Um. Okay. Uh, as for me, I'm an alchemist. I work at the apothecary's. Rather, I did.
Varian: Steal shit. *Charming grin*

05) Tools of the trade?

Tehedra: Whatever's handy. I've killed with my bare hands before.
Yvette: Herbs, food, pretty much anything. Some bottles, mortar and pestle, retort stand, calcinator, alembic, the best qualities possible, preferably a still room - you need the darkness to make certain potions - but I can make most stuff without it.
Varian: *Gives Yvette odd look* Uh. I just use my hands. And maybe a bag if I need to.
Magnus: *Blinks* I need nothing more than my hands and a sword.

06) What's your favourite pastime? Something you do when you're not busy?

Tehedra: Stabbing people. Meh. I like taking time to watch the waves.
Yvette: I read. History, mainly. I find it fascinating. And I'm really interested in plants - I love my alchemy - and just indulging myself in what Oblivion used to be.
Varian: I love annoying the shit out of Sinjian. Man, he thinks Pia is annoying, but you should see him when I'm bothering him. He gets so pissed off. Plus, it helps him realise Pia's not as bad as he seems to think she is. He acts like she's a fucking demon.
Magnus: Walking around. Looking at things. Looking for food and herbs. It's a habit I can't get rid of, even when I eat well. Never know when you might run out. So I get lots of herbs and hoard some.

07) Do any of you know each other? If so, how?

Tehedra: *Looks at them carefully* Nope! Don't know a single one.
Yvette: I know Magnus. He was a street kid in Kvatch - well, so I thought. I used to sneak some of his friends shit. Only knew him by sight, though. Then he stumbled into my master's apothecary half-blind screaming for medicine, and now we're... *Demented giggle* ... going on a bloody quest. Man, this is shit.
Varian: Nope! The girl looks hot, though. *Gestures to Yvette, gets a blushing glare in response*
Magnus: Yvette. She's my protector, she's helped me quite a lot.

08) What is something you hate?

Tehedra: People who ask too many questions. *GLARE*
Yvette: *Gestures at Tehedra behind her back and then shrugs*
Varian: I don't hate anything! I love everybody! Except Sinjian. He's a prick. Seriously, everybody in the family knows - seriously, we've all set up a betting pool for when he finally gives up and ravages Pia. The sexual tension is so bad it's choking me. Jeez, do we have to get the guy drunk and spike his drink with an aphrodesiac? We've tried both separately - hasn't worked. Maybe both at once'll finally get them laid. By the gods, it's so annoying!
Magnus: Captivity. Having everything provided for me. Eating is nice, but I miss getting my own food. It feels... lazy, somehow, not to. I miss being able to provide for myself and not relying on merchants and other people for it.

09) Something you don't hate, but still dislike?

Tehedra: I don't dislike anything, I hate everything! Including you. Shut up.
Yvette: Presumptuous idiots who call me a kid. I mean, just because I LOOK seventeen...
Varian: When I get caught stealing. That is so annoying.
Magnus: *Shrugs and looks away, murmurs,* Betrayal.

Tehedra: Nothing. Why do you keep asking this shit? Why am I even here? Fucking hell, how do I get out?

Varian: I like Pia. She's my best friend. Also like charming people's pants off. Literally. It's so fun.

Varian: There's this guy who plays a flute in Anarchy sometimes. Somebody snapped it in half, though. I liked what he played.

22) Do any of you fight? If so, why?

Tehedra: Yes. I've been fighting since I could fucking walk, because that shithead taught me to. I fight 'cause I have to. I've been surviving assassination attempts since I was twelve fucking years old, and surviving the fucking crew trying to kill Terence's little darling since before that. Of course I can fucking fight, what the hell do you take me for?
Yvette: *Blink* Uh, wow. Um. I used to practice swordplay, but I haven't since Mum died so I could be an alchemist instead. No need to in Kvatch.
Varian: Sorta. I've not been practicing. But there comes a time in Anarchy where you pretty much have to.
Magnus: Yes. Because the daedra eat me if I don't.

23) Preferred/personalised weapons?

Tehedra: Sword. Or something sneaky like a dagger so I can stick somebody in when pretending to be friendly. The crew have learned to keep away from me when I'm pretending to be friendly. A good rope for strangulation is good, too, because my fingers get sore if I strangle somebody that way.
Yvette: ... Shit, you're morbid. Uh, I just prefer acid. Something nasty. Splash it in somebody's face.
Varian: Dagger or a knife. Easier to handle.
Magnus: Sword so I can wound a clannfear without having to get near its claws. Same with the daedroth. Scamps are easy to handle.

24) How long have you been fighting for?

Tehedra: Since I could walk. Been fighting by screaming bloody murder for longer than that.
Yvette: Uh, Mum started teaching me when I was eight?
Varian: Ten, I think.
Magnus: Mother used to train me in secret. Well, I dreamed she did. Otherwise... four? Maybe earlier? I don't know. I can't remember.

25) Do you enjoy fighting?

Tehedra: *Snort* Yeah.
Yvette: I'd rather avoid it.
Varian: Uh, yeah, what Yvette said.
Magnus: No. There's never a reason to enjoy fighting.

26) Who is your best mate?

Tehedra: "Best mate"? You've got to be fucking kidding.

Yvette: Not that long, actually. A couple of weeks?
Varian: I've known Pippi since I was ten. She was brought in not long after I was.

28) Why are they your best friend?

Tehedra: I'm just going to stand here and glare at you until you ask something more intelligent.
Yvette: He's a nice kid. Little misguided. Doesn't seem to care I am who I am. Not like just about everyone else who thinks they should have an opinion on who you should be.
Varian: 'Cause she's the only kid my age I like, and 'cause she's the only person not exasperated by my energy. *Smiles* I used to want to marry her, y'know. She's great. Very bubbly, very friendly. Smart, too.
Magnus: She looks after me. Seems to know what I'm thinking before I do.

29) What are you good at, and do you enjoy doing it? Why do you do it anyway?

Tehedra: I'm good at strangling annoying people. And yes, I really enjoy it. *Evil grin*
Yvette: Uh, okay. I'm good at alchemy. I like doing it because needing to concentrate clears my thoughts, makes me feel peaceful.
Varian: I'm good at making women happy! And you bet I enjoy it!
Magnus: I'm good at finding food and protecting myself.

30) What would you say is your best physical feature?

Tehedra: *Smirks faintly* Eh, they say my eyes.
Yvette: *Shrugs* I like my hair. My skin's too pale.

Tehedra: I'm really fucking stubborn. I've even exasperated Rito, and that guy's so peaceful and ignorant that this one time he was carrying shit, and Reel tripped him, and all he did was frown, pick it up, and keep going. *Giggles*
Yvette: I'm good at taking care of people who need it.
Varian: I'm really good at making people feel special and talkative, and making them trust me.

34) Do you have any siblings? How many?

Tehedra: Yeah. Four. All dead. Three miscarried, one died when she was three days old.
Yvette: Four, dead too. Three sisters and a brother. One got killed in the Oblivion crisis, the other three died from the plagues.
Varian: I've got a half-brother named Varden, but I consider him as good as a full brother. Love 'im to pieces.
Magnus: No.

35) What are their names? And what are your parent's names?

Tehedra: Uh. *Thinks* My sister's name had been Temira. Funny, I'd almost forgotten her... as for my mother's name, I dunno, everybody called her "the whore". I was ten before I realised that wasn't actually a name. Father - *Snort* - is Terence.
Yvette: My parents were Manon and Pascal. My sisters were Michelle, Maria and Catherine, and my brother was Christian.
Varian: Varden's my brother. Don't think of my parents.
Magnus: Cel - Angeline is my mother. Was. I'm not sure if she's still alive. I have a dog called Martin.

36) Have you ever experienced love? Has your love ever been acknowledged by the other party?

Tehedra: *Laughs* that's really bad shit, y'know? Pathetic and weak and all that shit?
Yvette: I had a crush on my master for the longest time. No idea why, he's middle aged for an altmer.
Varian: I... don't know. I love Pippi as a sister, I consider her as much as a sister as Varden is my brother. As for love, I don't know... I like Janvel. But I don't know if it's love.

39) What's a childhood memory? A good one?

Tehedra: Sitting beside my mother in her room while she told me a story. She used to pretend she was a princess. I wasn't allowed to tell. She'd tell me how we'd both get out of there one day, and we'd have lots of servants and eat proper food - you know, soft bread, clean water - and we'd live in a place that didn't have rats or angry people. And people would be nice to you. *Has a faraway look in her eyes* And I'd have lots of clothes. Mother told me I'd like dresses. They felt a lot freer than pants. I said I didn't like them, though, 'cause it made it easier for Terence to hurt her. *Goes quiet*
Yvette: *Blinks at Tehedra, then speaks* Once I was in Bruma with my brother and sisters. My brother and Maria and I were having a snowball fight - I was only five, but I can remember it really clearly. It was the last snow I saw, not including the mountains from a distance, before Oblivion took over.
Varian: I remember sitting in a circle with Varden when he was sixteen and my family when my mother was still alive, playing a word game of sorts. It was dark and we had a campfire in front of us. I don't remember what the game was but my mother loved it and always begged to play it.
Magnus: *Thinks* When my mother first let me go out alone.

40) And a good memory from any time?

Tehedra: Nyeh. *Shrugs* When my mother was dying. I was sad she'd leave me, but I knew it was better for her. I knew I had to be strong by myself after that. So when she was dying I was happy because I knew I'd take care of myself and... make her proud. Death was her release. I'm only sad that Terence took that from her and killed her instead of letting her have the satisfaction of dying by herself. Second best memory was Terence getting marooned. I hope he's still alive there and starving and suffering.
Yvette: This one time Endaril came home drunk with his friends and we had this party. *Laughs*
Varian: When Pippi first came, she screamed the place down. I joined in and pretended she was disturbing me, but really, I just wanted to join in.
Magnus: *Just shrugs*

41) What is your greatest regret? Don't give me that “no regrets” rubbish, surely you must have wanted to go back and fix something at one time or another.

Tehedra: If I could, I'd have figured out how to fight Terence sooner and set my mother free somewhere.
Yvette: That I couldn't save my mother and my siblings. If I'd started alchemy before, I might've found the cure sooner...
Varian: Honestly, I wouldn't fix anything 'cause I'm fine now, so it all turned out okay. But if I had to fix something I'd go back and tried to stop Sinjian from going... getting really angry all the time.
Magnus: I dunno. I would've let the daedroth kill me instead of playing dead when I was eight.

42) Is there something incredibly important to you that you have lost?

Tehedra: *Snort* No. The Petrel is all I need.
Yvette: My family. What else? I could use with my great grandfather being alive again, though. He could help us so much.
Varian: I really miss Bjelda. She died, though.
Magnus: My mother got kidnapped.

43) Do you mind sharing who or what it was, and how you lost it?

Tehedra: *Rolls eyes*
Yvette: Like I said, the Oblivion crisis... well. The Hero of Kvatch was supposed to save us, but she didn't. Martin Septim died. Oblivion took over Nirn. But there was a huge war when they did so, a war they won, and my oldest sister Maria got killed in one of the fights. After that, well... they came from a new place, so there were all these new diseases. There were plagues, on and off, for years. Those of my family who weren't killed died thanks to the plagues. Five in eight people that were around before the Oblivion crisis died thanks to the fighting or the plagues. So... yeah.
Varian: Bjelda was my Mother. Not my real mother, but in our family of thieves, she was the mother figure. Like Yvette's family, she died of illness. I caught the illness too, but I got saved because I was younger. Jina took over after Bjelda died.
Magnus: The Mythic Dawn took exception to her existence.

44) What did this person or thing mean to you?

Tehedra: Meh, fine. My mother stopped eating the food Terence gave her after ten years of captivity because she was sick of being his sex slave, okay? She weakened, Terence set her afloat on a boat to die of exposure of starvation, and she died. She was the only person on the ship I could be weak around. I was eight years old. So after that, goodbye niceness, goodbye pretending to be happy, hello shitty life.
Yvette: Everything. I grew up with them. Then they just kept dying.
Varian: Bjelda was the only one in the family aside from Varden who wanted me, 'cause I was such a brat. She really put a lot of effort into fixing the damage dad did.
Magnus: She raised me, all by herself. She hadn't talked to anybody since I was born.

45) Did you/could you go about recovering it?

Tehedra: Nope.
Yvette: I wish.
Varian: *Sighs, shakes head*
Magnus: Yes, if they haven't killed her.

46) Are you alright now?

Tehedra: *Snort* No. But who cares? Just keep going.
Yvette: Mostly.

47) Why do you keep going - what is your motivation? What do you live for?

Tehedra: Because I'm so fucking angry? I keep going because I'm really angry.
Yvette: Magnus. Grandfather made a promise, and I'm fulfilling that promise because he didn't live to.
Varian: 'Cause life is fun?
Magnus: Because I have to.

48) Why this? What makes this reason so important to you?

Tehedra: 'Cause when I stop being angry, shit catches up with me. I have to be angry, or I can see it. If shit catches up with me, I get depressed, if I get depressed I get weak, if I get weak I stop paying attention and then somebody will kill me.
Yvette: Because it'll save the Empire if I fulfil it?
Varian: Why isn't it important? Life's fantastic.
Magnus: Because everybody else wants something only I can give them.

49) Do you have any hopes or plans for the near or distant future?

Tehedra: *Snort* No. I need to get enough money to get the Petrel completely repaired, though... it's older than I am, and she leaks a lot.
Yvette: Get the Mythic Dawn's arse kicked.
Varian: Somehow find a way to get Sinjian jumping Pippi's bones before somebody steals her from under his nose. *Snickers*
